CUPPY FOUNDATION: DJ Cuppy Raises Over N5M for her Initiative in Abuja

Nigerian entertainer DJ Cuppy celebrates her birthday today. The “Gelato” artiste, born Florence Ifeoluwa Otedola, turns 27 on Monday, November 11th (yesterday).

DJ Cuppy has a superb ear for sound, and the perfect features to carry out her artistic vision. This has led her to collaborate extensively with artistes like Kwesi Arthur, Ceeza Milli, and Shaydee (“Abena“). She also worked with Afro Pop star Tekno on “Green Light” a slow-paced bop which captures the subtle sexual nuances of a relationship.

However, DJ Cuppy is widely known for being the posh daughter of Nigerian billionaire Femi Otedola. This has led many Nigerians to antagonize her, relating their anger to the fact that she lives a very comfortable life far away from their realities. This hasn’t stopped DJ Cuppy from sharing her light and laughter, and embodying a very positive energy.

For her 27th birthday, she held a gala yesterday. At the event were Vice President, Prof. Yemi Osinbajo; the Governor of Lagos State, Babajide Sanwo-Olu; Governor of Ogun State, Dr. Dapo Abiodun, and former Governor of Edo State, Adams Oshiomole.

DJ Cuppy was able to raise (through donations) over FIVE (5) Billion Naira for her initiative, Cuppy Foundation. She announced this on Instagram. According to her, the gala was a success. She noted that the money raised would be used to help Nigerian children.

Great one, Cuppy! Have a splendid one.
